Jen Kingwell for Moda

Jen Kingwell describes herself as a traditional quilter with a modern twist. She loves scrappy quilts and the more fabrics she can use in a single project the happier she is. In her perfect world she would hand stitch everything but with today’s busy lifestyle she does machine piece as well. Hand appliqué and quilting are among her favourite pastimes. She lives in Melbourne, Australia and has been fortunate enough to have had two lovely careers, the other being midwifery. She teaches, designs, and owns a fabric store featuring eclectic fabrics from Japan, the U.S., England, and Europe. She is married and has three grown daughters.
