Introduction to Longarm Rulerwork


This class is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of using rulers on a longarm quilting machine.

Experience using a longarm quilting machine is required to attend this class.

We will cover the different ruler types, how to hold and position rulers properly, one handed guiding of the longarm machine along a ruler, spacing, marking and starting and stopping.

Some basic stitches we will learn are: stitch in the ditch, continuous curves in squares and flying geese, point to point in triangles and squares.

If you have questions about rulers / design supplies you have, you are welcome to bring them to class.

There are no supplies required for this class, but you may want to bring note taking supplies and camera.
