Soiree Workshop for Advanced Beginning/Intermediate Quilters
In this advanced beginner/ intermediate two-session class, students will use the pattern “Soiree” by Amy Ellis, to construct a throw-size quilt top or adjust the pattern to make table toppers. To cut the colored blocks, students may choose a “Layer Cake”, fat quarters or scraps. The first class will demonstrate cutting layouts and sewing the block. Students will choose fabrics, if not done ahead of class,and cut and sew blocks. In the second class students will finish the blocks, lay out the blocks on the design wall to balance color and prints, sew the top,and--if quilting on a home machine--pin the quilt sandwich. Instructor is Lynn Kamola.
